BeekeepingFor almost 20 year I have been keeping bees (in my garden). Usually I don´t have more than four hives but some years I still get a lot of honey. When assocaitong with bees there is good idea to be a member of a beekeepeing association. I belong to one called Sundbyberg & Spångaortens biodlarförening (unfortunately in swedish). MusicOver twenty years ago I and six other guys formed a band called "Sjön Suger". We toured Sweden and played mostly in Pubs. In august 1997 we reunited and played at Gränna Bluegrassfestival. Our (Sjön Sugers´) somewhat odd favourites was e.g. Jim Kweskin & the Jug Band and Nitty Gritty Dirt Band. Another place to visit is An artist that has made a "comeback" is John Fogerty who earlier was a large part of Creedence Clearwater Revival. His second to latest album "Blue moon swamp" and the latest "Premonition" (with a lot of Creedence covers) are really good if you´re into traditional rock-music. DogsIn the family there are three dogs. They are Shetland Sheepdogs (Shelties) and go by the name of Jeppe, Rasmus and Chico. They have competed a little in obedience, with somewhat varied success. MoviesI like movies a lot. Two things I don´t like however are:
One of my favorites is The Marx Brothers and I have compiled a page with the essentials about their movies. Other good links are IMDb and, if you like the Marx brothers, The Official Unofficial Marx Brothers Web Site. Cartoons"Traditional" cartoons, printed on paper is an much too undervalued cultural expression (it´s getting better though). In recent years, I think, Ernie by Bud Grace is one of the best. Another hero in this context is Carl Barks whose "golden years" production is currently published (in album format) by Gladstone. I have compiled a set of XML-files that covers all work by Carl Barks publized by Gladstone. BooksI like books. On and off I reread my collection of Ed McBain (Evan Hunter). Especially his ever ongoing (?) series about the 87th precinct. This, I think, is one of the sources of inspiration to the TV drama "Hill street Blues". |
