This is (supposedly) a silent one reel film. Some sources place it in the same time as The Cocoanuts stage run (1925) but Groucho himself  (in "the Groucho Phile") places it in 1920-1921.

It was shot in New York, New York and some scenes in Fort Lee, New Jersey. It was never released and, according to Groucho: "It was never finished and it wasn´t very good. Fortunately there are no copies avaliable".

It is rumored however that Groucho once offered $50,000 for a copy.

The completed reel was shown in a matinée in the Bronx to an audience of youngsters. Their lack of interest ensured the films withdrawal.
